Clinische Studien Gesellschaft
CSG expertise
CSG implements clinical research in the outpatient sector, consistently uses Internet technology and can incorporate health economics considerations from the very beginning.
CSG's expertise and company profile are characterized by three special strengths:
1. Clinical research in the outpatient sector
Our focus is on implementing clinical studies not only in hospitals but also in the outpatient sector. Where possible, patients should be integrated in the study projects.
To this end
- CSG builds networks of medical practitioners, qualifies them as trial doctors and supports them on a continuing basis.
- Trial doctors can include their patients as active partners in the planning, execution and evaluation of randomised studies. This makes the study procedure more interesting for the patient and helps recruit new patients.
- By using electronic documentation the data is available significantly earlier.
- CSG currently works in practices and clinics in cooperation with several large national networks in the specialist fields of cardiology, urology, gynaecology, general medicine and dermatology.
2. Consistent use of Internet technology
We use fully developed internet technology for all our documentation, monitoring, quality control and data management.
- For these tasks we employ the well-known ORACLE Clinical Remote Data Capture (RDC) system. We always offer this service parallel to conventional paper documentation.
- High quality electronic data documentation is part of CSG's professional portfolio. The use of RDC does not make any development demands on the client.
- The basic structure employed by CSG is independent of the Data Dictionary used and can therefore be applied to the client's data structure.
3. Expertise in health economics and project experience
Through its connections to IGES, the Technischen Universität Berlin, and many other national and international academic institutions CSG has expertise in
- incorporating health economics considerations in the design of the studies from the word go, and
- running studies either as independent projects or in connection with clinical trials.
