10 Years of CSG
A Success Story
In the spring of 1998, the Clinische Studien Gesellschaft mbH corporation (CSG) was founded as a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) in Berlin. CSG clients appreciate the broad competence in the conceptual design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical studies (Phase II-IV) and non-interventional studies.
CSG clients include, for example, enterprises from the pharmaceutical industry, medical technology, and biotechnology as well as insurances, professional associations, and foundations from the health care sector. They acknowledge the advantages inherent in obtaining both routine and primary data from one source because CSG is a subsidiary of the IGES Institut which is headed by Professor Dr. med. Bertram Häussler.
The close cooperation between CSG and the IGES Institut permits a perfect combination of ascertaining clinical data revolving around such diverse issues as, for example, health economics. A specific focus is, thus, on the joint effort of designing, ascertaining, and evaluating the parameters within the scope of Patient Reported Outcome (PRO) projects. “We will continue to consolidate the synergies we have created over the past few years also in the future because today, clinical research is primarily associated with economic considerations,” emphasizes Heike Schön, who heads CSG together with Bertram Häussler.
